Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Assignment dates: November 24, 7:00 AM through December 7, 7:00 AM
• 
  
• Will see inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers
• 
  
• ERCP preferred
• 
  
• Board certification required (minimum: certified)
• 
  
• ACLS certification required
• 
  
• Trauma Level 3 facility
• 
  
• Required procedural skills include: Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices
• 
  
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) preferred, both diagnostic and therapeutic
• 
  
• Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) required
• 
  
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation required
• 
  
• Small bowel biopsy required
• 
  
• Lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid), and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision required
• 
  
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) preferred
• 
  
• Liver biopsy required
• 
  
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required

The facility is equipped to handle complex GI cases including endoscopic procedures and inpatient consultations.
