Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Immediate coverage need for an Advanced Gastroenterologist
• 
  
• Inhouse call 12 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM with 12 hours on call from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• 
  
• 1-2 weeks per month availability required, with preference for minimum 2 weeks per month
• 
  
• Average 15-20 patients per day plus 5 procedures
• 
  
• Average 0-10 calls while on call from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 
  
• Average callback 1-3 times overnight per week
• 
  
• Must have completed ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology with ERCP training
• 
  
• Must have completed three year GI fellowship plus fourth year fellowship in advanced endoscopy
• 
  
• Required: 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in past 12 months
• 
  
• Excel formatted case logs by date required with ProVation or GI system documentation
• 
  
• Must be board certified with ACLS certification required
• 
  
• Required skills include upper GI endoscopy, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, and liver biopsy
• 
  
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days

The program includes advanced ERCP, therapeutic EUS, and advanced resection modalities. The facility maintains a 99+ bed capacity and provides comprehensive gastroenterology services with modern equipment and specialized procedural capabilities to support complex endoscopic interventions.
