Full-time locum need with candidates required to be available a minimum of 2 weeks per month (Monday through Thursday)
16 shifts per month with 8-hour shift lengths and clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
On-call responsibility of potentially one week and one weekend per month via phone calls only
Inpatient responsibilities are minimal; hospitalists admit all patients and physicians typically only field phone calls from hospitalists
Job responsibilities include consults, follow-up care, and overseeing administration of antineoplastics in the clinic
Daily clinic patient volume of 16-20 patients with appointment lengths of 15-20 minutes for follow-ups and 60 minutes for consults
Services offered include antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, and bone marrow biopsies
Practice supported by 2 nurses per provider along with referral and triage nurses, reception, lab, social worker, referrals, and dietician
2 Advanced Practice Providers on staff; supervision of APPs is not expected
Medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy available on-site
Patient demographics limited to adults 18 years and older
EMR system is EPIC
Teaching opportunity available
Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology required; candidates Board Certified in Oncology with strong Hem/Onc experience will also be considered
Fellowship training in Hematology & Oncology required
Active Iowa license or active IMLC required
Experienced candidates preferred; new graduates will also be reviewed
Clean malpractice and background history required
