JOB DESCRIPTION:

Coverage:

• General orthopedics
• Minimum requirements: 10-14day
• call coverage. Active NM license
• These shifts are not in house call, but do cover call for 3 ER locations.
• Total joints, sports med, trauma or any peds ortho?
• All preferred.
• Willing to see some basic hand cases.
• Peds cases would need to meet adult anesthesia dosing requirements.
• Any specific procedures needed?
• General ortho surgical procedures
• Clinic and call schedule?
• True peds cases would be sent to UNMH

Procedures:

General Orthopedics:

• Non-Surgical
• Surgical
• Arthroscopy
• Total Joint replacement
• Hip
• Knee
• Other (excludes hip and knee)
• Joint revision or repair
• Shoulder
• Hand -basic hand/wrist/elbow
• Tendon release/repair
• Peripheral nerve surgery

CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS

STATE LICENSE REQUIRED:

• New Mexico
