This role leads the administration of physician and preceptor stipend programs that directly expand clinical training capacity across rural Indiana.
The Physician & Preceptor Administration Program Director plays a central role in advancing Indiana’s rural healthcare workforce strategy by overseeing stipend programs that support clinical preceptors and training opportunities. This position ensures that stipend administration is accurate, compliant, and aligned with program goals, enabling expanded access to hands-on clinical training across rural communities.
Working within the statewide RHTP governance structure, this role collaborates closely with IDOH leadership, workforce initiative teams, healthcare providers, training partners, and community organizations. The Program Director is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of stipend administration, including eligibility verification, payment coordination, compliance oversight, and reporting.
This is a highly visible, detail-oriented leadership role that blends program management, financial oversight, and stakeholder coordination. The position serves as a key operational link across partners, ensuring that workforce investments are implemented consistently and effectively statewide.
Establish and manage the systems that support effective stipend program delivery.
Ensure participants meet program requirements and are properly onboarded.
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant stipend payments.
Provide transparency and accountability across program operations.
