Physician - Primary Care Provider (85262)

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a per diem Primary Care Provider to join our team to cover shifts at Correctional Facilities located in and around Metropolitan, Minnesota. The Primary Care Provider will fill in as needed when the clinic is open Monday through Friday.

The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one required
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check
