The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that promotes scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning while supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.Qualifications:Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification in Physics (Standard or CE/CEAS)Bachelor's degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)Demonstrated knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for ScienceExperience implementing inquiry-based, hands-on, and phenomenon-based instructionStrong classroom management and student engagement skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and familiesCommitment to equity, differentiation, and meeting the needs of diverse learnersKey Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous physics instruction aligned to the NJSLSUtilize a variety of instructional strategies, including laboratory investigations and real-world applicationsDifferentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs and English Language LearnersAssess student learning using formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instructionMaintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environmentCollaborate with the science department on curriculum development and vertical alignmentParticipate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-based initiativesCommunicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding student progress
