Location: Upstate South Carolina
Pay: $30.00–$33.00/hour, depending on experience and position

Position Summary
OpSource has partned with an industrial construction and services firm and is seeking experienced Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters for upcoming industrial shutdowns, maintenance projects, and ongoing construction work throughout the Upstate South Carolina area.
We are looking for skilled tradespeople who can work safely and efficiently in industrial environments and who have experience with piping installation, fabrication, welding, maintenance, and repair.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, fabricate, repair, and maintain piping systems according to specifications, blueprints, and project requirements.
- Perform pipe welding using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques, as applicable to the project.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and piping specifications.
- Cut pipe using hacksaws, pipe cutters, cutting torches, pipe-cutting machines, and related tools.
- Thread and bend pipe using appropriate machines, tools, and equipment.
- Install pipe hangers, brackets, and supports.
- Inspect and test piping systems and welded joints for leaks, defects, and compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of existing piping systems.
- Work effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and project management to meet project schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, site requirements, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Work overtime and flexible hours as required by project or shutdown schedules.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a
Pipe Welder, Pipe Fitter, or combination Welder/Fitter in an industrial or similar environment.
- Pipe welding candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience.
- Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, fabrication, installation, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Welding certifications such as AWS or ASME are preferred, but not required for every position.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability and stamina to perform skilled trade work in various industrial environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
- Ability to pass required skills testing including Pipe Fitter testing and/or Monster Coupon combo-weld test.
- Pipe Welders must be capable of welding Schedule 10 stainless steel when required by the position.
Work Environment
Projects may include industrial facilities, shutdowns, maintenance work, piping installation, fabrication, repairs, and other project-based industrial environments throughout the Upstate South Carolina area.
Assignments may vary based on project requirements, experience, and trade specialization.
