    Description

    The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings on a routine basis at a previously established optimum frequency.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings
    • Review manufacturers' service manuals, facility's usage schedules, records of maintenance problems, and inspection and repair reports to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance
    • Study production and operation schedules and confer with staff to determine when to perform planned maintenance to avoid interference with operations of facility
    • Schedule and perform inspections of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings
    • Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance
    • Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
    • Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High School graduate or GED equivalent
    • Minimum 2-3 years production maintenance experience
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
    • Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills
    • Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
    • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
    • Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and/or completion of a craft apprenticeship or technical certification preferred
    • Greater than 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferred
    • Previous TIG and stick welding experience preferred
