Position Summary:
The Pipe Fitter Helper assists Pipe Fitters in the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of piping systems. The position requires the ability to perform manual labor, use hand and power tools safely, and support craft personnel in completing projects efficiently while following all safety and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Pipe Fitters with installation, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems.
Gather, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment required for daily activities.
Measure, cut, bevel, clean, and prepare pipe and fittings for installation.
Assist with alignment, fitting, bolting, and securing piping components.
Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
Follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions under supervision.
Assist with hydro-testing, flushing, and commissioning activities.
Support rigging and material handling operations when qualified.
Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and permit requirements.
Attend safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous construction, industrial, mechanical, or pipefitting experience preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Ability to read measuring devices such as tape measures.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn the pipefitting trade.

Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and fall protection
