Pipefitter – Houston, TX
Shift: Night Shift | 5:00 PM – 3:45 AM
+$3/Hr. shift differential
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join an industrial fabrication team in Houston. This role is responsible for fitting, positioning, and welding pipe systems while reading P&IDs and engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and compliance with welding procedures. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of industrial experience, strong pipefitting skills, and experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and chrome pipe.
Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of industrial pipe fabrication and fitting.
Read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and package layout drawings.
Fit, align, bolt, clamp, and tack-weld pipe and components into position.
Set up and operate appropriate welding equipment and processes.
Weld piping systems using the proper procedures based on material type and application.
Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and chrome pipe.
Inspect completed welds for structural soundness and quality.
Perform welding in various positions and configurations.
Follow all safety requirements, project procedures, and company policies.
Work under general supervision while using experience and judgment to complete assigned work.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma/GED required; technical diploma or vocational certificate preferred.
2–4 years of relevant industrial pipefitting/fabrication experience.
Experience fitting and welding multiple types of pipe, including:Carbon steel
Stainless steel
Chrome
Qualified in GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes.
Ability to weld 2" and larger pipe in all positions.
Must be able to pass a 6G pipe welding test.
Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and fabrication layouts.
Knowledge of standard industrial fabrication practices and procedures.
Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and meet production requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
