Job Purpose
Maintain the flow of stocked and delivered inventory in the pipe yard by pulling material (including a company-wide range of pipe, valves, and fittings),assistingwith loading material ontotrucks, andplacing new material arrivals of pipe into the yard or bins.
Responsibilities
Individualmust be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
LearnMRC Global products, procedures, and processes associated with the warehouse area and MRC Global-specific software system.
Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspect material forminimumMRC Global quality requirements.
Maintain site inventory byassistingin inventory audits.
Stock and transfer material, tools, and equipment toappropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bin location, size, type, style, and length.
Mark material with correct identifying information.
Transfer material to and from the shops for modification purposes.
Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer.
Load ontothe correcttruck or transfer tothepacking area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment.
Maintain warehouse/pipe yard cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and MRC Global safety policies.
Perform other duties and/orprojects asassigned.
Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.
Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnessesimmediately.
Qualifications
Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.
High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree)
Must have a current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable record at all times.
Two years of warehouse experience.
Working knowledge of materials andproductse.g.,pipes, valves, fittings, and electrical materials.
Ability to learn MRC Global-specific software and MRC Global scanners.
Certified on, or have the ability to become certified, and adequately operate forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment.
Establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and shift work.
Additional Qualifications
Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
Ability to read and speak the English language proficientlyin order tocommunicate with others,to understand and interpret safety instructions,and respond to inquiries.
Ability to understand andcomply withMRC Global guidelines & expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
