Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop models of equipment and structure to produce 3D plant designs.
- Generate orthographic and isometrics drawings, MTOs, arrangement details, and location plans.
- Support engineers on projects for operating facilities and develop layouts and drawings for equipment, including plan, sections, and elevations.
- Support proposal work by developing conceptual plant layouts and generating orthographic views.
- Check vendor drawings. Make necessary corrections and coordinate submittals as instructed.
- Follow established CAD standards and guidelines for the industrial gases industry
- Reports to Design Department Manager.
- Work with other departments and work groups as needed.
- Participate in departmental training programs/seminars and on-line training.
Required Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in engineering/drafting technology from a recognized technical institute required.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering degree or relevant coarse work a plus.
- Proficiency in CADWORKS 3D and AutoCAD or BricsCAD design software is required.
- Experience with cryogenic piping and working in the Industrial Gases Industry is a plus.
- Understanding of pipe stress and pipe supports.
- Basic computer literacy - Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Ability to function in a team environment across multiple disciplines.
