The Position:

 

JOB SUMMARY

• Plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor development and production of prototypes.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES.Description

• Plan/Expedite
• • Coordinate production plans to ensure electrical and mechanical materials are provided according to schedules.
  • Review Engineering Bill of Materials in conjunction with Enterprise Resource Planning and Contract Manufacturing support to ensure materials for assemblies are accurately listed and can be manufactured.
  • Interface with various departments in order to expedite operations that delay schedules and/or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure Material Requirement Planning (MRP) driven changes and request dates fully support the manufacturing build and customer delivery schedule.
  • Use just-in-time (JIT) planning by reviewing on hand quantities and ordering per Build Matrix quantities.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions within Enterprise Management System, to order materials for the development of Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) assemblies.
  • Create and Maintain Work Orders within Enterprise Management System, to account for board and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) assembly for both development and Production.
• Procurement & Logistics
• • Source Components from local approved vendors. Partner with Procurements to find alternate sources of materials when applicable.
  • Continuous monitoring of planned orders, purchase orders, demand fluctuation and associated material requirements to meet engineering’s commitments.
  • Management of incoming and outgoing engineering shipments. Adding special notes and instructions for receiving and manufacturing for all orders to ensure they are processed correctly upon receipt.
  • Initiate and implement appropriate actions to resolve problems; Resolve discrepancies with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure continuity of the supply chain for uninterrupted flow of materials and services related to prototype and production.
• Communication
• • Update department leads and management regarding the status of assigned projects.
  • Schedule meeting with cross-functional internal key stakeholders.

The salary or hourly wage range of $22.60 – $37.98 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements. 

 

What We’re Looking For:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• AA Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 2+ years of Planner/Expeditor experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

• • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with various departments and levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Strong ability to multi-task and apply priority to projects with adaptability and urgency while meeting timelines.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Schedules.
  • Knowledge of database systems
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with vendors.
  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Ability to exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procurement and planning basics and engineering requirements.
  • Ability to comply with Company and legal guidelines.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

Paid time off: Exempt Salaried employees receive flexible paid time off. This means that there is no fixed number, range, or limit to the amount of Personal and Vacation Days that may be taken for exempt employees.
