Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
- Schedules and coordinates repair, modification, and preventive maintenance operations
- Assists in the development and review of standard operating procedures
- Participates in HAZOPs and FMEAs
- Location liaison with corporate process safety group
- Oversees and/or performs new equipment installations
- Utilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance
- May provide advice to management regarding equipment life and usage and in researching new equipment purchases
- Ensures operations technicians understand and follow safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance
- Coordinates and oversees the movement of materials and equipment as required
- Participates in Six Sigma Projects

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science strongly preferred; high school diploma/GED required
- 3 - 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting preferred
- Knowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Operating Procedure Elements
- Knowledge of welding techniques
- Knowledge of high-pressure piping systems
- Knowledge of cryogenic pumps and systems
- Basic Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Computer skills including Microsoft applications
