Plant Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Dallas, TX area. Our client is seeking a Plant Manager to lead overall plant operations, safety, quality, and profitability.

Position Responsibilities:

- Lead all plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and shipping

- Drive a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance

- Develop production plans that meet customer schedules and cost targets

- Lead, hire, and develop plant supervisors and staff

- Manage the plant budget, labor, and capital improvements

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Track and report KPIs for safety, throughput, quality, and cost

- Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives

- Support quality certifications such as the AISC certification program or IAS AC472

- Coordinate with sales, engineering, and project management on capacity

- Oversee equipment reliability and maintenance planning

Position Skills:

- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in steel fabrication or metal buildings

- Prior plant or operations management experience

- Knowledge of AISC, AWS, or IAS AC472 quality programs

- Lean manufacturing experience

- Strong financial and people leadership skills

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or business preferred
