Job Summary: This role oversees all functional areas of a pork processing plant. Responsibilities include efficient operation of three production shifts, maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement. This is supervisory role and you will manages multiple groups of personnel across departments performing diverse tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate managers to provide guidance and programs that enhance employee skill levels.
- Resolve issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Review cost and performance data to identify areas needing improvement.
- Facilitate Talent Mapping and Succession Planning Programs while supporting the Retention Program.
- Ensure food safety, food quality, and legality.
- Initiate discussions and implementation of improvements in all phases of production.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and correcting problems.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a general professional or technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience; food processing or meat industry preferred.
- Computer Skills: General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); working knowledge of SAP systems preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.
