Platform Architecture Lead

Position Overview

• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Pay Rate: $75-$85 per hour
• Location: Boston / Remote

The role involves owning the shared technology foundation supporting products across data, integration, infrastructure, cloud, and the AI-enabled software development lifecycle (SDLC). The position requires establishing target-state architecture standards, reusable services, and guardrails to enable efficient, consistent, and secure platform delivery while meeting non-functional requirements. The lead will oversee data, integration, infrastructure, and AI SDLC architects and partner closely with platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern target-state architecture standards for cloud, data, integration, and AI-enabled SDLC.
• Establish reusable services, architectural guardrails, and security standards.
• Ensure adherence to non-functional requirements across the platform.
• Lead data, integration, infrastructure, and AI SDLC architects.
• Partner with platform engineering to enable scalable, secure, and consistent delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience.
• Professional degree.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Experience establishing and governing architecture standards across a large cloud-native environment.
• Ability to drive architectural consistency while enabling delivery teams to move efficiently.
• Willingness to travel as required. Client covers travel and expenses.

Ideal Candidate

A senior platform architect with 8 years of experience, strong healthcare industry knowledge, and a proven track record of setting and enforcing target-state architecture standards across large cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate can lead multiple architecture disciplines, partner effectively with platform engineering, and maintain strong governance without slowing delivery.
