    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Platform Database Engineer to support and optimize enterprise database environments within a global organization. This role focuses on database performance, security, automation, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. The ideal candidate brings deep database administration expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain database environments to ensure security, availability, and performance

    • Develop and maintain automation and data processes using SQL, PowerShell, and data integration tools

    • Implement data access controls and monitoring solutions

    • Respond to and resolve database alerts, incidents, and service requests

    • Perform real-time troubleshooting and end-to-end problem resolution

    • Manage schema changes and scripts through version control systems

    • Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, and testers across distributed teams

    • Provide guidance on best practices, performance tuning, and database design improvements

    • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures

    • Own deliverables and ensure timely, accurate completion of assigned work

    • Support scheduled maintenance, deployments, and rotational off-hours coverage

    • Identify process improvements and recommend updated standards

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience

    • 8+ years of database administration experience supporting enterprise environments

    • Strong expertise in database backup, recovery, patching, security, and disaster recovery

    • Advanced proficiency in SQL development and performance tuning

    • Deep understanding of database architecture, indexing, optimization, and execution planning

    • Experience supporting transactional and analytical database systems

    • Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms and multiple database technologies

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills

    • Experience collaborating with data warehouse and analytics teams preferred
