Job Title: Plumber

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 53142

Duration: 5 months, Potential to convert to FTE

Hours: M-F 7am - 3:30pm

Payrate: $32.10 /hr. on w2

About the Role:

  • As a Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility.
  • This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Team Overview:

Will be reporting to Hard Services Supervisor. Team consists of Maintenance Mechanics, HVAC Techs, Plumbers and Electricians.

Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances:

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility / Office

What You'll Do:

  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with * RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver's License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Resource's typical working day:

Perform Preventative Maintenance, repairs and installation of water and waste lines, plumbing fixtures

Licenses/Certifications:

  • OSHA 10 Construction (Preferred but not necessary)
  • Plumbing License Not necessary

Must Have Skills:

Commercial / Industrial experience

Nice to have skills:

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Ability to use CMMS system, Email
