Job Description
United Concrete Products is seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed P2 Plumber to join our Building Group Division. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting plumbing systems related to the production of prefabricated precast concrete buildings.
We are a family-owned precast concrete company specializing in the design and manufacturing of prefabricated precast concrete buildings, and we take pride in delivering high-quality, durable solutions across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble plumbing systems within prefabricated precast concrete building structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
- Coordinate plumbing layout and rough-in work during the production process
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems as needed
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet project specifications and deadlines
- Ensure all work complies with Connecticut plumbing codes and applicable regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards
Requirements
- Valid Connecticut P2 Plumbing License (Journeyman) required
- 3+ years of plumbing experience; experience in commercial, industrial, or prefab/modular construction is a plus
- Experience with commercial plumbing installs required
- Experience with PVC, cast iron, and copper piping required
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, installation practices, Connecticut plumbing code, and OSHA safety practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a production/manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working both indoors and in varying shop conditions
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Availability to work 50+ hours a week is a plus
