Position Overview

Are you a licensed engineer ready to transition from drafting designs to architecting the core infrastructure of the nation’s most vital facilities? We are seeking a Plumbing Engineer to serve as a technical linchpin in our Las Colinas studio. In this role, you won't just be sizing pipes; you will be a strategic designer, responsible for the integrity and innovation of water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems that power modern commercial and healthcare environments.

Core Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Lead the full lifecycle of plumbing design, creating sophisticated plans for water supply, specialized drainage, and sanitary systems across a diverse national portfolio.

• Technical Engineering & Analysis: Perform rigorous hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing, water demand, and system pressure to ensure peak performance and code compliance.

• Integrated Project Leadership: Coordinate seamlessly with architects, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate complex plumbing systems into the broader building fabric.

• Technical Stewardship: Conduct expert site visits to assess existing conditions, oversee construction progress, and ensure that field execution aligns with design excellence.

• Strategic Specification: Select high-performance plumbing fixtures and equipment that balance innovation with client-specific project requirements.

• Team Mentorship: Steer the professional development of junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of technical accuracy and collaborative growth.

• Quality Assurance: Uphold the firm’s commitment to excellence by staying at the forefront of industry standards, model codes, and emerging sustainable technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• Software Proficiency: Essential command of Revit and AutoCAD for high-fidelity system modeling.

• Technical Acumen: Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of solving complex MEP integration challenges.

• Communication: Elite interpersonal skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary project meetings and interface with clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized Software: Experience with advanced plumbing design and hydraulic modeling software.

• Sector Expertise: Previous experience designing systems for healthcare or large-scale commercial facilities.

• Multi-State Licensure: Ability or desire to obtain licensure in additional states to support our national project reach.
