PM&R Pain Management - Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Indiana

Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital is seeking a Boart Certified/Board Eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Pain Management Physician to join our growing team in Muncie, Indiana.  This is a high-volume, procedure-focused opportunity for a physician passionate about restoring function, improving quality of life, and reducing reliance on long-term pharmacotherapy.  The practice emphasizes evidence-based, minimally invasive care through advanced interventional pain management techniques and coordinated multidisciplinary treatment plans.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations. 
• Review and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including MRI, CT, and X-ray.
• Identify pain generators and establish accurate diagnoses for acute and chronic pain conditions. 
• Develop individualized treatment plans focus on functional restoration and improved quality of life.
• Perform and broad range of image-guided procedures, including:
  • Epidural steroid injections
  • Selective nerve root blocks
  • Facet joint injections
  • Medial branch blocks 
  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
  • Sacroiliac joint injections 
  • Peripheral joint injections 
  • Trigger point injections 
  • Ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures
  • Spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trials and management 
  • Other minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided interventions

Qualifications

• MD / DO 
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
• Fellowship training in Pain Medicine or Interventional Spine/Pain Management preferred 
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure 
• DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing eligibility
