The Maple Grove Police Department provides a fulfilling career for individuals passionate about public safety and law enforcement. Our patrol officers work 10-hour shifts that enhance both efficiency and work-life balance. We offer a variety of permanent and rotating investigator roles designed to support career advancement. Officers are encouraged to pursue assignments in specialized teams such as the Safe Streets Unit (plain-clothes proactive enforcement), Traffic Unit, Emergency Response Unit, Crisis Negotiations Team, Public Order Unit, and K-9 Unit. Our department emphasizes professional development through a comprehensive Field Training Officer (FTO) and mentorship program. As the operators of the North Metro Regional Public Safety Training Facility, we provide access to modern indoor and outdoor training environments featuring the latest scenario-based and reality-based instruction.
