Job Overview:

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a 28-story residential condominium. This role supports daily building operations by ensuring all common areas are clean and well-kept, assisting residents when appropriate, and contributing to a high standard of service and presentation throughout the property.

Schedule:

• Schedule includes weekends

• Holidays and evenings as needed

• Overtime may be required based on building needs

 

Your Responsibilities:

Building Cleaning

  • Clean and maintain all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, 

stairwells, fitness areas, restrooms, and amenity spaces

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces on a routine schedule
  • Maintain the cleanliness of exterior entryways, sidewalks, and surrounding

grounds

  • Perform trash and recycling collection from designated areas and transport to disposal locations
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly (e.g., door handles, elevator buttons)

 

Support Operations

  • Set up and break down meeting rooms or amenity spaces as needed
  • Monitor building conditions and report maintenance issues, damages, or safety
  • concerns promptly
  • Support maintenance staff with light duties as assigned

Resident & Guest Interaction

  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to residents and guests
  • Respond to general questions and direct residents to appropriate staff when
  • needed
  • Always maintain a welcoming and secure environment

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all building safety protocols and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and OSHA standards
  • Identify and report hazards such as spills, leaks, or unsafe conditions
  • immediately

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial cleaning environments is a plus
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Adhere to company policies and community standards
  • Contribute to a positive living environment for all residents

  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
  • Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs
  • Requires standing, sitting position for long periods of time, walking and occasional climbing when necessary
  • Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages; must be able to reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms
  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Must have the ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekends, and attend Board meetings.

What We Offer: 

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays and a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.

Compensation:

$18.00-$20.00/hr
