Porter – Early Morning Restaurant Maintenance

Culver’s is looking for a dependable, hardworking Porter to help keep our restaurant clean, safe, maintained, and ready to serve our guests each day.

Our Porter plays an important role behind the scenes. You’ll help prepare the restaurant for opening by cleaning and maintaining equipment, receiving and organizing deliveries, completing preventative maintenance, and keeping our building and grounds looking their best.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare the restaurant and equipment for opening each day
• Clean and assemble restaurant equipment, including grills, fryers, and exhaust hood filters
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance throughout the restaurant
• Inspect the building and grounds for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security concerns
• Receive truck deliveries and properly organize products in the cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas
• Rotate inventory and monitor product dates and temperatures
• Maintain the restaurant's interior, exterior, parking lot, and grounds
• Assist with landscaping and other seasonal property-maintenance needs
• Identify equipment or facility issues and communicate needed repairs
• Follow Culver’s safety standards, operating procedures, and best practices
• Help ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, safe, and ready for our team and guests

What We’re Looking For

The ideal Porter is someone who:

• Is dependable and takes pride in their work
• Is comfortable working independently and managing a daily task list
• Has strong attention to detail
• Is willing to learn basic restaurant equipment operation and maintenance
• Can work efficiently without sacrificing quality or safety
• Is comfortable with a physically active position
• Has previous maintenance, janitorial, restaurant, landscaping, or facilities experience — helpful, but not required

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and stretch
• Lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds
• Work in cooler and freezer temperatures
• Work around heat from grills, fryers, and other restaurant equipment
• Perform indoor and outdoor work as needed
