Powerfeed Mechanic

Set-Up Operator (Powered Hand Tools mechanic)

Qualification Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and experience using mechanical hand tools.
• Complete work in a safe, productive, and timely manner.
• Basic tear down and repair experience.
• Basic machine or machine-tool set-up experience.
• Ability to use standard micrometer, caliber, and other measurement devices.
• Basic technical knowledge, manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, as well as the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer skills, internet, Excel, Word, and CribMaster is a plus.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses and makes repairs on powered tools, such as drills.
• Responsible for rebuilding defective mechanical parts.
• Prepare paperwork and keep stock of parts.
• Uses a variety of tools and equipment to assemble units to required specifications in a specific area of a production line.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions to assemble the parts.
• Inspect for faulty components during the assembly process and may be required to test assembled parts or products to ensure functionality.
• Set up all power feed drill motors per general work instructions and set up document.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and maintain an acceptable appearance to the customer.
• Complete and submit accurate end of shift and production reports.
• Maintain process and flow requirements.
• Maintain 5-S requirements.
• Maintain a courteous working relationship with all customer associates and team members.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety policies.

While performing these job duties up to 8 hours per day and overtime as required: regular standing, walking, use of hands and fingers to handle and feel; reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing; operating material handling equipment. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds unassisted.

Working with greasy tools, cutting fluids, carbon fiber, pneumatic equipment, and cleaning solutions.  Operating pneumatic equipment and industrial environment.
