This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of recreational vehicles. Success in this position requires technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset.Responsibilities:Diagnostic and Repair DutiesInspect and diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles, equipmentConduct routine maintenance and preventative services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacementsUtilize diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify malfunctionsRepair or replace faulty components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systemsTest drive vehicles after repairs to ensure they are functioning properlyCustomer ServiceCommunicate with customers to understand the nature of the issue and provide explanations about the diagnosis and repair processWork with Service Writers to prepare detailed cost estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain customer approval before starting workExplain post-repair vehicle conditions and answer customer questions regarding maintenance and operationRecord-Keeping and DocumentationMaintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairsDocument inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for warranties or customer filesShop Maintenance and SafetyKeep tools, equipment, and the shop area clean, organized, and well-maintainedAdhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulationsCollaboration and TrainingCollaborate with other technicians and staff to complete complex repairs efficientlyStay updated on the latest industry developments, vehicle technology, and diagnostic equipmentQualifications/Skills:Strong understanding of small engine mechanics and repairProficient in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and basic hand toolsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Prior experience in customer service and mechanical repair (preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work flexibly in a dynamic environment, including overtime when necessary
