PPE TECH/JANITOR

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Emptying trash cans.
• Carrying trash and other disposables, such as empty shipping cartons, to outside trash dumpsters.
• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and breakroom areas, including microwaves, tables, fixtures, and chairs.
• Cleaning glass windows.
• Cleaning entry and exit rugs.
• Collecting, washing, sanitizing, drying, and distributing reusable PPE, including masks, coveralls, and other assigned safety equipment.
• Monitoring PPE inventory and notifying supervision when laundering supplies or replacement items are needed.
• Lifts, carries, and handles trash, cleaning supplies, and tools such as mops, buckets, vacuums, rugs, and PPE items.
• Assisting with the organization and storage of cleaned PPE and safety equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitization, and handling procedures for PPE and reusable safety equipment.
• Ability to follow facility safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures related to PPE laundering and distribution.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift throughout the workday.

• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to climb ladders, stairways, and work from elevated platforms.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides cleaning of all buildings, including operational facilities within the plant. Positions stocks cabinets, refrigerators, and other areas of the plant and buildings with supplies and food items. Will pick up and deliver meals, as well as other items, around the facility. Responsible for cleaning and organizing materials and offices throughout the facility. The position will also be responsible for collecting, laundering, sanitizing, and distributing personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks and other reusable safety gear, to help maintain compliance with site safety requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
