Selected applicants will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidates will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Defense programs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition and interface definition
- Complete use case development and preparing systems engineering artifacts as a part of program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer-requested capabilities
- Follow an Agile framework to manage the backlog and document progress
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Work with teams crossing multiple functions in order to drive data connectivity from architecture to requirements to test
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 2 years' related experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment daily
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and related tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw)
- Should possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines
- Skills in generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
- Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- The candidate should have an understanding of the Systems Engineering 'V' and be capable of performing engineering analysis, requirements allocation, requirements decomposition
- Experience in mission analysis with skill in the development of use cases, sequence diagrams, and creation of Interface Documents
- Experience with requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and components
- Experience using Atlassian Tools such as JIRA
- Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices
- Expert in all MS Office applications and familiarity with DOORS
- Familiar with Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
