Practice Administrator – Plastic Surgery

Charleston Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Practice Administrator to join our established, multi-site practice and play a key role in our continued growth and expansion.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced plastic surgery practice administrator with experience across the surgical, aesthetic, and medical spa realms who understands what it takes to operate a comprehensive, full-service plastic surgery practice and deliver an exceptional patient experience across multiple service lines.

Our practice currently serves patients across the Charleston area, including West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, and Summerville, and we are continuing to grow. The person in this role will initially have a significant operational presence in our West Ashley practice while also taking a hands-on leadership role in the development and launch of a new comprehensive aesthetic center of excellence in the North Area!

What You’ll Do

As Practice Administrator, you will help lead the day-to-day success of our established practice while taking ownership of the operational planning and launch of our next phase of growth. You will:

• Lead daily operations of our multi-site plastic surgery practice, ensuring an efficient, polished, exceptional, and personalized patient experience
• Partner closely with our plastic surgeons and leadership team to achieve clinical, operational, financial, and growth goals
• Help design, coordinate, and launch a comprehensive aesthetic center of excellence in a new market, taking ownership of the many details required to move from concept to a fully operational practice
• Participate in the design and setup of the new facility, ensuring the space is appropriately equipped and operationally ready
• Research, evaluate, and procure medical equipment, aesthetic equipment, furnishings, technology, and office supplies
• Develop and manage opening budgets, inventory, purchasing, vendors, and startup costs
• Establish operational workflows, policies, procedures, and systems for the new location
• Develop staffing plans and recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop the new team
• Establish scheduling templates, patient-flow processes, phone workflows, check-in/check-out procedures, and other front-office systems
• Work with leadership to establish pricing, service offerings, and operational processes appropriate for the new market
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, technology providers, and other partners involved in the expansion
• Help establish marketing, lead-management, consultation, and patient-conversion workflows
• Ensure new operations meet all applicable regulatory, HIPAA, OSHA, safety, and operational requirements
• Lead the transition from pre-opening planning to successful day-to-day operations
• Maintain strong operational oversight of our existing locations while supporting the development and growth of the new market
• Monitor practice performance, productivity, patient volume, revenue, and key operational metrics
• Understand and improve the cosmetic patient journey—from initial inquiry and consultation through procedure, follow-up, and ongoing patient relationships
• Support strong conversion of consultations to procedures and identify opportunities to improve patient retention and engagement
• Address patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and good judgment
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional service
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient experience, revenue, and overall practice performance
• Serve as a trusted partner to the physicians, anticipating needs and solving problems proactively

This Is More Than a Practice Management Role

This is an opportunity to help build the next phase of an established plastic surgery organization.

You'll become an integral part of our existing practice while taking an active role in expanding our capabilities and geographic reach.

The new center will require someone who is comfortable getting into the details—from equipment and inventory to staffing, workflows, vendors, pricing, patient experience, and operational readiness—and who can take a project from planning through launch and into successful ongoing operations.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building systems, solving problems, developing people, and turning ideas into functioning operations.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced practice administrator who brings healthcare operations expertise, strong business instincts, and a deep understanding of plastic surgery, aesthetics, and elective medicine.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Several years of progressive leadership experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, aesthetics, medical spas, cosmetic dermatology, or a similarly comprehensive elective healthcare environment
• Direct experience across surgical, aesthetic, and medical spa operations strongly preferred
• Experience working within a multi-service, full-service plastic surgery or aesthetic practice
• Previous experience opening a new medical office, expanding into a new market, launching a new service line, or supporting a practice acquisition or expansion
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a project from planning through execution and successful launch
• Experience developing opening budgets, purchasing equipment and supplies, selecting vendors, establishing inventory systems, and managing startup costs
• Experience recruiting and building a team for a new location or growing practice
• Experience managing a practice where patient experience, consultation conversion, revenue growth, and patient retention are important measures of success
• Familiarity with cosmetic consultations, elective procedures, treatment planning, and the unique patient expectations associated with aesthetic medicine
• Experience with patient conversion, lead management, scheduling optimization, and/or cosmetic sales processes
• Strong business acumen and comfort understanding practice-level financial and performance metrics
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously
• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to work effectively with physicians, employees, vendors, and patients
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
• The ability to balance patient experience, employee engagement, and business performance
• The initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability to solve problems when there isn't an existing playbook

The Ideal Candidate

You may currently be a plastic surgery practice administrator, aesthetic practice administrator, med spa leader, cosmetic dermatology administrator, or senior practice leader who has successfully helped open or expand a practice and is ready for an opportunity with significant ownership and growth potential.

You understand that a comprehensive plastic surgery practice encompasses much more than surgical procedures. You appreciate the intersection of plastic surgery, aesthetics, skincare, medical spa services, and the broader patient relationship, and you understand how these components can work together to create an exceptional patient experience and a successful business.

You've also been through a new-office opening or market expansion before. You know that opening a practice isn't just choosing furniture and hiring employees.
