Preschool Teacher (CDA Credentialed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool Teacher holding an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential to lead an engaging, play-based classroom. In this role, you will foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes the cognitive, emotional, and physical growth of young learners while maintaining strong partnerships with families.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood development standards.
• Create an inclusive, structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity, play, and positive social interaction.
• Observe, track, and document individual student progress and developmental milestones.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with parents and guardians through daily logs and regular conferences.
• Utilize positive behavior guidance techniques to help children build self-regulation and social skills.
• Ensure full compliance with state licensing standards, safety guidelines, and sanitation protocols.
• Coordinate daily routines, including sensory activities, outdoor play, quiet time, and meal service.

Required Qualifications

• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (Center-Based setting preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting.
• Active CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to clear state-mandated background checks and health screenings.

• Deep understanding of early childhood developmental stages and positive guidance techniques.
• High patience, energy, and creativity for interactive play and learning.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for parent and staff interactions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, bend, sit on the floor, and actively supervise children indoors and outdoors.

WORK CALENDAR: School year - 184 days per year; 40 hours per week

SALARY: Teaching Contract - 184 days
