A day in the shop
Join our team in Marshfield, WI 54449 and take ownership of precision parts from setup through final measurement. You’ll translate prints into reliable machining strategies, keep equipment dialed in, and partner closely with teammates to hit quality and delivery targets.
Core responsibilities
- Set up and run CNC and conventional equipment to produce precision components.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan machining sequences.
- Monitor toolpaths and part quality; adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds to hold tolerance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines production-ready.
- Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot dimensional, surface finish, and process issues.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, 5S work area at all times.
- Document setups, offsets, production counts, and process notes accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; machining coursework/certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience as a CNC or manual machinist.
- Strong knowledge of machining methods, tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Detail-driven problem solver with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Clear communicator who thrives in a team environment.
