Precision Machining Production Lead

Ready to run a high-performance machining floor overnight?

We’re seeking a hands-on leader to own 3rd-shift operations in our machining department in York, PA. You’ll set the pace, keep the crew safe, and ensure the next shift inherits a clean, organized, and well-documented operation.

Your Impact

• Own nightly production: allocate work, load balance across work cells, and hit throughput goals.
• Enforce safety and cleanliness standards across the department.
• Translate daily objectives into clear assignments, staffing work centers to meet targets.
• Continuously improve workflows, communication, and process discipline.
• Coach and develop hourly talent; resolve issues quickly and constructively.
• Ensure airtight shift-to-shift communication and documentation of priorities and issues.
• Partner effectively with hourly employees and union officers to maintain a strong, respectful workplace.
• Conduct performance evaluations, manage attendance, and administer discipline with consistency and fairness.
• Maintain precise timekeeping and related administrative records.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• High school diploma.
• 3–5 years of machining background.
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (metalworking preferred).
• Demonstrated success supervising in a union setting.
• Strong command of machining principles, equipment, and processes.
• Influential communicator with solid leadership skills.
• Nice to have: Journeyman Machinist or Tool & Die Maker papers.
• Nice to have: Two- or four-year technical degree in machining.

Schedule & Compensation

• Location: Onsite in York, PA.
• Hours: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. (3rd shift).
• Pay: Starting at $80,000 base + 10% shift differential for the overnight schedule.
• Employment: Direct hire with comprehensive benefits.
