Precision Production Machine Operator

Step Into Your Shift

At 4:00 PM in Mundelein, IL, you step onto the production floor ready to set up, run, and fine-tune mechanical manufacturing equipment. You’ll verify parts using precision measuring tools, review blueprints and work instructions when needed, and document first-piece and in-process checks to keep production safe, efficient, and on spec.

• Location: Mundelein, IL
• Work Arrangement: On-site
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM
• Pay: $20.09/hour
• Other Compensation: $2.50/hour shift differential
• Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
• Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.

What You’ll Tackle

• Run assigned mechanical equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
• Confirm part quality and specifications using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other basic precision tools.
• Complete first-piece inspections and maintain clear, accurate records.
• Troubleshoot routine issues and make basic machine adjustments.
• Read and apply blueprints (when applicable), work instructions, and procedures.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or machine operation setting.
• Skill operating production machinery safely and productively.
• Comfort with precision measurement instruments and basic math.
• Ability to interpret written/verbal directions and complete documentation accurately.
• Familiarity with blueprints when applicable.

Work Environment & Physical Expectations

This is an on-site manufacturing role around mechanical production equipment.

• Frequent bending and stooping.
• Ability to pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components.
