About the Role:
Fratellinos Italian Restaurant in Brea, CA is looking for a talented and passionate Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! If you love the art of Italian cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your culinary skills to a beloved local restaurant.  Prep cook receives cash tips.



Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications
• Chop, slice, dice, and marinate meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for daily service
• Assist in the preparation of house-made sauces, pastas, and Italian staples
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
• Properly store and label food items following FIFO and food safety standards
• Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume service periods
• Monitor and replenish prep inventory to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a prep cook or kitchen role preferred
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes consistently
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
