Prep Cook

About the Role:
Serra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse in Peoria, AZ is looking for a talented and passionate Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications
• Wash, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, meats, and other food items for service
• Assist in the preparation of authentic Brazilian dishes and churrasco-style proteins
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
• Monitor and rotate food stock, ensuring freshness and proper storage
• Follow all food safety and handling guidelines in compliance with health codes
• Support line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume service periods

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a prep cook or kitchen role preferred
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
