Position Description

The Prep Cook supports daily kitchen and catering operations as part of a collaborative culinary team. The prep cook prepares and handles food to health code standards, breaks down and stores food correctly, and maintains clean, organized work stations. Working as a kitchen prep cook, the role keeps food preparation safe, accurate, and on schedule to meet service deadlines across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health code requirements.
• Prepare and portion ingredients to support daily kitchen and catering service.
• Break down stations, then label and store food in accordance with procedures at the end of each shift.
• Maintain clean, organized, and clutter-free work areas.
• Support banquet and catering set-up to meet service requirements. 
• Assist with the daily delivery and pickup of catering orders across multiple locations.

Success in This Role Looks Like

• Deliver food prepared, labeled, and stored to health code and food safety standards.
• Keep kitchen and catering service on schedule through timely, accurate preparation.
• Maintain clean, organized stations that support smooth kitchen operations.
• Support successful catering and banquet events through reliable set-up and delivery.
• Contribute to a collaborative kitchen team through clear communication and a problem-solving approach.

Position Requirements
