Prep Cook / Receiver - Plano, TX

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a full-time Prep Cook/Receiver to join our team at a private school in Plano, TX. This dual-role position supports both front-of-house service and back-of-house receiving operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-volume food preparation and storage, including handling large quantities such as up to 240 lbs. of protein daily, 10–20 gallons of sauces, and multiple cases of produce and dry goods
  • Accurately receive and verify deliveries, ensuring all items meet quality standards
  • Properly store products following HACCP procedures, including correct labeling, dating, and rotation
  • Ability to quickly assess daily priorities and follow direction from the Sous Chef and Executive Chef
  • Strong multitasking skills, including completing daily prep and planning ahead for upcoming service
  • Excellent organization, efficiency, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Friendly and team-oriented with a positive attitude toward coworkers and the school community
  • Professional, respectful, and easy to work with

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Occasional evenings and catering events

Pay Type:

$19.00 - $21.00 Hourly

Maintain the customer service areas to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences.

Prepare assigned menu items in accordance with SAGE recipes.

Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).

Experience as a prep cook or line server in a commercial kitchen preferred.

Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately.

Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner and provide service with a smile!
