Abby's Bagels & Coffee Lower Greenville, Dallas is opening a new store and looking for people who love great food, fast-paced work, and taking care of others. We make bagels from scratch, serve coffee all day. We are a neighborhood spot that always feels welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for daily service, including washing, chopping, slicing, portioning, mixing, and labeling food items

• Prepare spreads, salads, sandwich ingredients, fillings, sauces, and other menu components according to Abby’s Bagels recipes and standards

• Follow prep lists and production schedules to ensure the kitchen is ready for service

• Store food properly using date labels, rotation practices, and temperature-control procedures

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area, walk-in, cooler, and storage spaces

• Follow food-safety and allergen-handling procedures at all times

• Receive deliveries, check products for quality, and stock ingredients and supplies as needed

• Monitor ingredient levels and notify management of low inventory, waste, or quality concerns

• Assist line cooks, bakers, and front-of-house staff during busy periods when needed

• Complete opening, closing, dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitation duties

Qualifications

• Prior prep cook, line cook, kitchen, deli, catering, or food-service experience preferred

• Basic knife skills and comfort using common kitchen equipment safely

• Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, prep procedures, and directions consistently

• Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and detail

• Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry up to 50 pounds

• Availability for early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts

• Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain one, preferred

Schedule and Compensation

This position may be full-time or part-time. Shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Pay is competitive and based on experience.
