About the Role:
Kids First Preschool and Child Care Center #2 in Tucson, AZ is looking for a dedicated and caring Preschool Cook/Cleaner to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to play a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting the health, safety, and happiness of young children every day. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for preschool-aged children daily
• Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health codes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment at all times
• Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and play spaces
• Monitor and restock cleaning and kitchen supplies as needed
• Assist with setup and breakdown of meal service throughout the day
• Support staff in maintaining a safe and hygienic facility for children and employees

Requirements:

• Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or a childcare/school setting preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, and portion guidelines for young children
• Experience with commercial cleaning procedures and cleaning products
• Fingerprint clearnace card
• Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Ability to pass a background check as required for childcare environments
• Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one upon hire
• Kitchen Manager certificate a plus
