Applications are being accepted for a Preschool GSRP Associate Teacher position at Bloomin' East Preschool. This is a Bloomfield Hills Association of Early Childhood Educators position.

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Preschool

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have one of the following: o Associate's Degree (AA) in Early Childhood or Child Development or the equivalent OR o Valid classroom Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
• Must meet all requirements established by the Michigan Department of Human Services
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check with MSP, a background check with LARA, and pass a TB test
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentational skills
• Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Work effectively, make decisions, and problem solve collaboratively within a team

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in instructing and supervising children in classroom activities
• Assist the teacher in incorporating required activities into lesson plans that support children's development
• Help the teacher prepare activities that support lesson plans
• Maintain open communication with parents
• Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment
• Engage in continuing education and professional development activities such as training, workshops, and classes to meet required qualifications
• Model positive behavior
• Perform all other related duties and documentation requirements as assigned

Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm 40 hours/week 1.0 FTE

COMPENSATION BENEFITS: $19.35-$24.70/hour
