Press Brake Operator with Setup

NuAire is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team. You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Salary range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Degree or certificate from a vocational school preferred.
• Experience working with press brake, and sheet metal fabrication machines with the ability to set up and operate. 

Duties:

• Performs any combination of tasks to set up and operate sheet metal machines such as Amada/Accurpress, S-4, P-4, corner former and Apron brake to shear, punch and form metal or other stock.
• Skills to look at a print and the parts for that print and follow tooling instructions or programs. 
• Assembles, aligns, and installs tooling to specifications using feelers, shims, templates, or other items as required by each part.
• Adjusts for each item in accordance with shop routing and mechanical drawings.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
