Production Operator, Extrusion Press Cell 2nd Shift

Pay: $19.00 to $25.48 per hourLocation: Indianapolis, INSchedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:00pm

About the jobWe are hiring a Production Operator for our extrusion press cell. As a Production Operator, you will rotate through different stations, so no two parts of your day are exactly alike. You will help turn aluminum into finished parts that meet customer specifications. We cross-train, so you will keep building new skills.

What a Production Operator does

• Rotate through the press cell stations: stretchers, saw, wagon loading, and packing
• Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect samples for surface finish, length, and tolerances
• Stack, stage, and load material for the age ovens
• Pack finished orders to customer specifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read die drawings and use measuring tools
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to use overhead cranes and lift trucks
• Self-starter who works well on a team
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs, with team lifts or a crane for anything heavier
• Comfortable in a loud, warm production setting

Preferred (not required)

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of the aluminum age cycle
