Press Operator

The Press Operator is responsible for setting‐up, adjusting, and aligning various milling machines, drill presses, assembly machines, and punch presses.

-Utilize part drawings and work instructions to set‐up and operate a variety of hydraulic presses ranging from 60 to 250 tons.
-Set‐up the de‐coiler and straightener.
-Use overhead crane and lift trucks to maneuver dies of approximately 2000 pounds to the proper position and secure them in place in the press.
-Keep track of location and safety position of bulk raw materials at the appropriate press for production.
-Perform frequent quality checks throughout the production run.
-Set‐up and operate the Shear and Noble roll marking machines as needed.



- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and 1-2 year work related experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must possess knowledge of basic math skills. Must be able to read scales, calipers and micrometer.
- Ability to learn, problem‐solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.
- Ability to communicate and work as a team member. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.

Physical Demand Requirements:
- Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds.
