Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Set up and operate hydraulic press equipment to support mechanical component assembly, disassembly, and repair.
• Position and support components using appropriate fixtures, tooling, and approved handling methods.
• Install or remove bearings, bushings, shafts, and other press-fit components according to work instructions.
• Review drawings, work orders, and component specifications before beginning each job.
• Monitor alignment, pressure, and component movement throughout pressing operations; stop work when conditions fall outside approved limits.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and completed work.
• Inspect parts for wear, damage, and improper fit, communicating findings to the service team.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, maintain job records, and keep the work area organized.
• Follow machine guarding, material handling, and applicable lockout/tagout procedures.

Needed

• Previous hydraulic press operation experience in an industrial, machine shop, or equipment repair environment; 1–3 years
• Experience setting up, aligning, and supporting components for pressing operations.
• Working knowledge of mechanical assembly and disassembly, including press-fit components.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, drawings, and dimensional specifications.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, or comparable inspection tools.
• Ability to recognize unsafe setups, abnormal resistance, and component misalignment.
• Heavy equipment repair, crusher rebuild, rigging, forklift, or overhead crane experience preferred.
