As a Preventive Maintenance Specialist, you'll support the performance and retention of United Mechanical’s commercial HVAC preventive maintenance agreement (PMA) portfolio, ensuring agreements are accurate, appropriately priced, and aligned with customer needs.
In this role, you'll take ownership of agreement renewals, account profitability reviews, pricing adjustments, and customer concerns. Working closely with service leadership, field teams, Account Managers, and the PMA Coordinator, you'll combine technical service knowledge with strong customer relationships to support profitable service delivery and long-term customer retention.
What You'll Do
Manage Maintenance Agreements: Oversee agreement accuracy, renewals, pricing, modifications, and scope changes, ensuring customers receive clear communication and updated documentation.
Strengthen Customer Relationships: Proactively engage customers, address agreement questions, and conduct in-person account check-ins before planned price increases for key accounts.
Review Account Profitability: Evaluate maintenance, quoted repair, and service call work orders to identify underperforming accounts and recommend adjustments to pricing, labor rates, technician assignments, or agreement scope.
Resolve Customer Concerns: Serve as a primary contact for PMA pricing concerns and escalations, partnering with service, field, and sales leadership to resolve issues and maintain customer confidence
Verify Equipment & Service Needs: Participate in customer job walks and site assessments to confirm equipment, maintenance requirements, and agreement scope.
Coordinate Across Teams: Keep assigned technicians and Account Managers informed of customer communications, agreement updates, and service needs.
Support Service Operations: Provide backup support for agreement setup, booking-package reviews, records maintenance, billing and work-order discrepancies, and service scheduling coordination.
