Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in database management along with experience providing database management program training. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience is also required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Licenses and/or Certifications: Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Requirements: The ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is required. Must be knowledgeable of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and modern maintenance principles and techniques. Must be able to monitor and prioritize work order status, review operating procedures and job plans based on the operating manual, generic maintenance strategy and historical records, and provide estimated time and material costs for equipment repairs.

The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) a large publicly-owned wastewater treatment facility located in Newark, New Jersey, is currently seeking a Preventative Maintenance Manager. Created in 1902, PVSC is the 5th largest facility of its kind in the United States, directly serving approximately 1.4 million residents in 48 municipalities located in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union Counties. The 140-acre plant is designed to treat an average of 330 million gallons per day (“mgd”) of wastewater, with an annual average flow of approximately 241 mgd.
Position Summary: The Preventative Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the preventive, predictive, and breakdown Computerized Maintenance Management System (“CMMS”) for PVSC’s wastewater system, which consists of regulators, sewers, and pump stations, as well as hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment. Will organize and procure resources to ensure the efficient coordination of maintenance activities and will analyze maintenance data to make recommendations for the continuous improvement of the maintenance program.
