Sappi is seeking a dedicated Preventive Maintenance Technician (Lube Tech) to support the reliability and performance of our mill's mechanical systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment longevity through expert lubrication, contamination control, and inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily lubrication rounds including inspections, reservoir top-offs, grease re-lubrication, and oil sampling.
• Support team members during shutdowns, vacations, and other coverage needs.
• Manage lubricant inventory and ensure proper usage within your area.
• Utilize CMMS and LubeIT software to track lubrication routes, log hours, and report equipment issues.
• Operate mobile filtration equipment and maintain lubrication points with proper labeling.
• Continuously improve lubrication processes through proactive enhancements like extended lines, sample ports, and automatic lubricators.
• Troubleshoot lubrication-related equipment issues and evaluate oil analysis results.
• Calculate re-grease quantities and frequencies based on equipment needs.
• Apply predictive maintenance tools such as infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, patch testing, and crackle tests.
• Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) teams to drive long-term reliability.
• Uphold environmental compliance and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
