Primary Care ProviderApproved Salary: Physician (MD/DO): $200,000-$250,000/year, plus benefits; Nurse Practitioner: $125,000-$150,000/year, plus benefitsThe Dimock Center Adult Medicine Department is seeking a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care to our diverse urban community.This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven, collaborative provider who is passionate about improving health outcomes and helping shape a comprehensive model of preventive and chronic care in a community health setting. Our multidisciplinary model allows providers to care for the whole patient while working closely with colleagues across medical and behavioral health disciplines.Summary/ObjectiveThe Primary Care Provider will manage a panel of patients and provide comprehensive primary care with the collaboration and support of an integrated team that includes behavioral health clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical professionals.Essential FunctionsProvide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, integrating preventive, chronic disease, and acute care.Manage and follow up on diagnostic studies, hospital and emergency department transitions, and specialty referrals with team support.Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record.Participate in and contribute to quality improvement, population health, and clinic-based initiatives.Identify and lead projects aligned with individual clinical interests and opportunities to improve patient and community health.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and address patients' medical, behavioral, and social needs.Participate in teaching and mentoring opportunities within The Dimock Center and through our academic training partnerships.CompetenciesStrong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills.Ability to build trusting relationships with patients and families.Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment, and cultural humility in all patient and staff interactions.Commitment to continuous improvement, clinical quality, and efficient care delivery.Interest in serving diverse and historically underserved patient populations.Work EnvironmentUrban federally qualified community health center.Collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment.Integrated medical and behavioral health model.Opportunities for teaching, mentoring, quality improvement, and population health initiatives.Required QualificationsPhysician: MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Nurse Practitioner: Licensed Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.Board certified or board eligible.Current Massachusetts medical or advanced practice licensure.DEA registration and Massachusetts controlled substance registration, as applicable.Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.EEO StatementThe Dimock Center values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other status protected by law.
